     Chameleon Creek Press can help you and these are just some of the many ways.  Every speech, presentation or workshop by Becky Chavarría-Chairez is highly-customized and always age appropriate.  Apart from speaking to children in Pre-K to Grade 6, the author is frequently featured at adult writing workshops, education and cultural conferences, literary events, festivals -- anywhere the love of books is celebrated!

BOOKING BASICS

   Honoraria and speaking fees generally range from $500 to $2,000.  Depending on your program agenda, travel requirements, materials and/or linguistic needs, fees do vary. Ask about discounts for same venue bookings over two or more days. Sponsoring organizations customarily fully underwrite the author's round-trip airfare, ground travel, lodging and meals in addition to the honoraria/fee. 

Presentations may be provided in English or Spanish.  Allow extra time for fully bilingual presentations & discussion with simultaneous interpretation.  

 Spring, fall & weekend dates are often booked six to twelve months in advance.

TORTILLA TIME! -- Featuring the author's first book, Magda's Tortillas/Las tortillas de Magda. Roll up your sleeves to make tortillas a la Magda!  A well-rounded presentation including age-appropriate activities and skills development with emphasis on math, language, reading and FUN! 

PIÑATAS EVERYWHERE! -- This is the ultimate who, what, where, when and why of this timeless tradition.  Featuring Magda's Piñata Magic/Magda y la piñata mágica, the second title in the Magda Madrigal picture book series.

LEARNING SPANISH IS A GAME!  -- Play several games and have fun learning to speak and use Spanish.  Once you start, you'll find everyone wins a better vocabulary!

I'M AN EDITOR & PUBLISHER -- Everyone's a storyteller, an illustrator and/or author when Becky Chavarría-Chairez leads students in the art of creating one-of-a-kind, handmade books.  This workshop can be modified for all ages and abilities!

MY FIRST AUTOBIOGRAPHY --Every picture tells a story AND each child has a mind full of pictures complete with exciting stories of their young lives.  Students write, illustrate and bind their first autobiography -- guaranteed to become a family keepsake.  Geared for ages 6 and up.
